Kira Pityk MA RP(Q)

My philosophy is that as we experience life we form narratives that shape how we view the world, ourselves, and others. We repeat these images, stories, and metaphors to ourselves, and look to reinforce these narratives by looking for evidence that supports them. Sometimes these narratives can be influenced by trauma, neglect, and misaligned relationships. My role as a counsellor is to explore and develop an alternative narrative that moves towards a more genuine you.

To guide this exploration and narrative building I integrate evidence-based practice such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, DBT, and Experiential Therapy to help clients experience healing and foster a better sense of self.
